Imagine a jigsaw puzzle is placed in front of you.  The various pieces are scattered in different directions, waiting to be put together.  You are assigned to put the pieces together, but the final picture doesn’t even exist.

Our mental health is comprised of many pieces, and the final picture is completely unique for each and every one of us.  Each piece represents a different aspect of our emotional, psychological, and social well-being.  But what happens when some of the pieces are missing, or the puzzle becomes incomplete?  When dealing with mental health struggles, pieces can fall away, may not line up with one another, or be lost entirely.  Everyone must learn to find a unique process that best explains how the pieces “fit” together to create a meaningful picture.

Imagine trying to complete a puzzle without all the pieces.  It is frustrating, challenging, and may seem impossible to solve.  Similarly, when someone’s mental health is compromised, they may struggle to function in daily life- at school, work, or home. They become overwhelmed, isolated, or hopeless, and may not know where to turn for help.  That’s where mental health services come in and play an important role.

Mind Springs Foundation’s Monthly Giving Program, Minds in Action, is focusing on scheduled monthly donations to facilitate a “piece” of mind for all individuals that require additional support to complete their picture.

Help us put the pieces together and join in our mission to rebuild lives and inspire hope by providing exceptional mental health and addiction recovery care.  Mental health services provide a wide range of support, from counseling and therapy to medication and hospitalization.  Services help individuals navigate mental health challenges, assist in developing coping skills, and improve the overall quality of life.  They also provide education to families, friends, and communities, to reduce stigma and promote mental health awareness.

Your support might be the final “piece” that helps a patient finally find the right treatment or therapy needed to get better.  It might be the piece that helps a hospital hire a new staff member who can provide even better care to patients.  Whatever it is, you are an essential part of our collective puzzle.

By coming together, we are working to complete the puzzle of mental health, one piece at a time.  And we can’t do it without your help.
