Counties In Action

Mind Springs Garfield County

Mind Springs is building a Withdrawal Management Facility in Garfield County! Recently, The Sopris Sun wrote an article on the genesis and process of this project:

“Garfield County is on the brink of a significant development in its healthcare landscape: the opening of a drug and alcohol withdrawal management (detox) facility. The region has gone over a decade without such a center, with the last one being operated by Colorado West, within the Garfield County Jail, which closed its doors in 2012.

The facility, scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2024, will be located at 2802 South Grand Avenue in Glenwood Springs — at the rear of the current Mind Springs Health headquarters. It will be an eight-bed dormitory-style facility for both women and men.” Read entire article here.

Mind Springs Grand County

On September 10th, Mind Springs Health attended the You Are Not Alone (YANA) suicide prevention and solidarity hike in Granby. The event was hosted by the Grand County Rural Health Network at Snow Mountain Ranch.

Mind Springs Mesa County

Mind Springs Health behavioral health partner, Mesa County Behavioral Health has created a Mesa County Co-Responder Program for Transforming Mental Health Response. The Mesa County Co-responder Program combines clinicians with law enforcement in patrol cars to address mental health needs effectively. It was launched this past summer by Mesa County. Mind Springs Health has been working with Law Enforcement to facilitate drop offs and transfers at West Springs Hospital in order to provide a more effective caring environment.

On September 9th, employees of Mind Springs and family members walked in the Colorado West Pride Parade.
